This is The Cure’s Version of the Song : Just Like Heaven

Lumineers Youtube Page

Just Like Heaven
LYRICS
“Show me, show me, show me how you do that trick?
The one that makes me scream.” she said
“The one that makes me laugh.” she said
And threw her arms around my neck
“Show me how you do it,
And I promise you,
I promise that
I’ll run away with you,
I’ll run away with you.”

Spinning on that dizzy edge
I kissed her face and kissed her head
And dreamed of all the different ways
I had to make her glow
“Why are you so far away?” she said,
“Why won’t you ever know
That I’m in love with you,
That I’m in love with you.”

You
Soft and only
You
Lost and lonely
You
Strange as angels
Dancing in the deepest oceans
Twisting in the water
You’re just like a dream
You’re just like a dream

Daylight licked me into shape
I must have been asleep for days
And moving lips to breathe her name
I opened up my eyes
And found myself alone alone
Alone above a raging sea
That stole the only girl I loved
And drowned her deep inside of me

You
Soft and only
You
Lost and lonely
You
Just like heaven

This song sounds better, than The Cure’s version, but what do I know… I’ve mellowed out in my aging ears… I like acoustical versions… though I like a good band version too.
The Cure released it in 1987, so the sound was on the cutting edge of recording back then… it was the transition from analog to digital.

I liked the Lumineer’s version better, it just showed more heart and passion… but the words were all The Cure’s writing and producing.

I have a lot of songs that need a good singer, but I butchered the lyrics with my lack of talent… I need to collaborate with talented people, and make the song theirs… without charge.
I’m done with filling my pride and ego with gluttonous dreams, and live life peacefully and just relax… and eventually die.

T
his has lyrics in the video itself, and talks of getting the “dark” out of your nature, before you go home.
Everyone runs thin at times, and he has to sober up, or think of positive things to change his mood.

Good Luck with getting the Dark out of your nature, Zach Bryan, and don’t stop writing songs.

I’ve had a dark time doing this post… I tried to use the Gutenberg plugin, and cleaned it up and went back to the classic editor.
“Gutenberg”, it shows promise, but the presentation of it is lame, and I suspect not secure… cause my paranoia was out of control.
So, I deactivated it, and worked back to my post the way it was.

Now to get back to the “Dark” song, and clean the dark out of your nature… I hope you got the Dark out, and went home to your wife, and gave her a big hug and kiss… and retire that song permanently… you could sing it on the way home, for your pleasure, but not at home.

This is Forest Blakk singing “If You Love Her”, like that… I enjoyed it.

Forest Blakk is someone … I confused him with someone else, who would post his poems… Sorry Forest.

Art is Art, but I’m here for the music.

I just had a wrestling match with a DARK demon of paranoia, and it’s over now… and I need to go to bed… and sleep… like I should’ve before I tried the Gutenberg  plugin…wrestled with the cursing darkness.

Maybe, next time will be better.
