This video turned me on to RIP X DAW Pro,
And I understood it’s potential.
Well, I bought it, cause I’ve been making songs with Tomidjah & SUNO’s AI Band, and they have a connect feature to SUNO.
I‘m just loading an old song that Lynn Voorhees did, called “Pictures”.
I’m going to see if I can improve that recording, it was on an old cassette tape.

I‘ll post a follow up on my progress on Lynn’s song “Pictures”, it’s one her first songs, we did in 1986, in the Rain Studio in NY, and we were still analog then, so this master is on a cassette, that’s all I had power over, during that time.
We went to digital audio in after 1991, and I left in 1996 to go out west, to the town of Sitka, AK, before I moved to Kalispell, MT in 1999… I’ve been on bedrest for the last 5 years… it’s what I have to put up, and you have to hear me about it… cause I like crying victim, like all of you… I go low with my words, when I’m feeling low, it’s not in my control.
Lets get back to RIP X DAW Pro, since this is a review about it.

It has a lot of potential.
It’s a bit shaky right now, but my mind is running wild, with the potentiality of it.
The blobs look like “worms”, and they’re all over the screen, but you have the PITCHES scattered on screen as stems.
I’ve only learned of stems with the MPC software in the last 2 years, and it took me a year, to understand it fully. Stems could be separate tracks, or mixed stereo files… it depend on what you choose to export it.
RIP X is a stem separator mostly and a sampler too… cause it samples audio, and assigns MIDI values to the samples… so there is a conversion mapping going on.
I just activated it last night, so I’m a noobie… and I have to learn about it, before I speak about it.
I downloaded it about a year ago, when I was looking for a DAW, I was familiar with, but this guy explained it to me, and I saw the simpleness of Stems, cause it said it was Pitch space, and not linear track space… so I had to approach it, from that perspective… and I was enlightened.
The screen is a bunch of color coded blobs, and to the left, of the blobs, you have all the control over them for the mixing and tracking, and on the right side of the main page, is the FX and Sounds for replacement, etc. … I should stop typing now, and post the youtube playlist… cause I haven’t learned about it, yet… to keep on typing.
