The Press and Copyright
The Press is a hypocrite in my eyes, they make their living off the news, as if they own the world, and they make it a copyright issue… as if they own the news.
They paint their images with their views to fill an agenda, yet when someone else takes their images and fills it with their views or satire, they are sued for infringing on the copyrighted images.
I’ve been fooled by many satire sites that hide their satirical nature and are passing it off as news, but after being fooled I grew mad, cause I had to go to another site to find out that it was satirical.
Like The Onion, which is open an upfront with their satirical nature, but the numbers of the press officialism/mainstream news, they have an agenda, thought up by some conspiracy nut, manipulating the public has some moral justification. They don’t see that manipulation is wrong, manipulation is right when it’s, inanimate objects… but when it’s living souls, it’s wrong…at least in my book.
Free press is a conundrum, when the free press is charging for their services, it’s no longer free. Like “freedom is not free”, is a conundrum too.
“Freedoom” of the press, that was a typo, but I decided to leave it in, cause it marks the realization of the press/media, and the truth about the press must come out, if we are ever to understand this world.
It’s a play, a puppet show, it’s an illusion of reality, it’s supposed to enlighten the world, but it only enlightens parts of the world, and that makes it a dangerous manipulative beast.
“Beware of the half truth. You may have gotten hold of the wrong half.”
We think something is true and we are led down the path towards a goal, when we find the goal is an illusion/falsehood/lie, we are mad at the ones who lied.
“Half a truth is often a great lie.”
— Benjamin Franklin
We often mistake our truths, as the world’s truths, by assumptions, but they are not, cause we don’t know all that there is to know, so our truths are incomplete. Once the world believed the world was flat, but there were people that believed the world was round, eventually made known to the world that it was round through science, or experiences manifesting their beliefs.
I just want to say that I’m against copyrights and patents, they should be called parasitic trees, where leeches and parasites congregate to get money for someone else’s ideas or inventions. That’s my view of the subject, it’s like the awards shows of Hollywood, the parasites they call fans are stalkers admiring/praising, but they are all the same, they are just as to be admired as those they admire…in all honesty.
The celebrity status is one side of the coin and is sold to highest bidder, like a sports celebrity sold to the team that bids the highest salary. I’m going off on a tangent here, but I like to ramble on.
I started this rant on the press claiming copyright on the news,… think of it, is all I ask.
