Paypal ?

— Paypal ? —

Another lawyer doubletalk trick, Paypal needs a lesson of humbling.

“When providing us with content or posting content (in each case for publication, whether on- or off-line) using the Services, you grant the PayPal Group a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable (through multiple tiers) right to exercise any and all copyright, publicity, trademarks, database rights and intellectual property rights you have in the content, in any media known now or in the future. Further, to the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, you waive your moral rights and promise not to assert such rights against the PayPal Group, its sublicensees or assignees. You represent and warrant that none of the following infringe any intellectual property right: your provision of content to us, your posting of content using the Services, and the PayPal Group’s use of such content (including of works derived from it) in connection with the Services.”

Since when is my time with PayPal, considered a social network experience, that it needs copyright protection.

It empowers PayPal only to rip off at will, while making me liable to others. It’s time we read and understand.

They play these tricks so subtly over the years, that we agree to anything to play with the software. We never read the things, I’m not going to read the things, but I own the software and will not be subject to any laws copyrights and patents laws, if you want to sell me that from this day forward, then you agree with my claims.

I’m not liable, I use Paypal for financial reasons, linking to my bank account to make payments to other institutions, who accept Paypal. I’m not posting copyrighted material.

Why does every piece of software have a few volumes of lawyer doubletalk, even if you understood it, it would take you a couple of hours to read, and understand it would require a couple of more hours, maybe even days, it depends on how much research you want to do.

These are MY terms of interaction with the business community.

I understand the basics of capitalism, and I find it applicable and acceptable, but when greed enters the picture, I see corruption following in on its tail. So if you are corrupt, then I don’t want to do business with you.

If you are power hungry then I don’t have your food, and I don’t want to feed thieves, cause that will cause you to reproduce more thieves, and so on and so on.

Don’t waste my time with terms and conditions, if I wanted to go to school again then I would choose it, but I’ll do without your software, no matter how hard it drives me with it’s absence from my life. You’ll have to learn that to impose on my freedoms, is contradictory to your freedoms, and the same will be done to you.

It will be done, I guarantee you that.

It seems the new 4.2 WP will only show links from Tumblr and their news seems to be edited, cause I couldn’t find one on Paypal discussing this story, so I’ll include links to some stories in the mainstream news.

All this copyright and patent shit, makes the internet hostile territory. It’s supposed to join us together and encapsulate peace, but it has the opposite effect with our differences and spreading the rise of prideful opinions, which divides us even more.
