2Rains – It’s A Cage
This song is lyrically depressing, but lyrically freeing in the end.
It’s about the life filled with laws and regulations, being a cage, and that we stare out at the world outside, of that cage feeling imprisoned, which is the depressing part.
We need freedom to open that cage at our will, so that we can fly away… which is the joyous part. We are no longer imprisoned by beliefs or politics, but we are free to believe whatever we choose.
Which is the foundation of chaos, and also organization too.
We have the choice to follow the devil , or the God of Love… they both have heavy burdens. One is a millstone around the neck, and one is wheelbarrow to carry the burdens… they both have heavy burdens to carry.
One lives with punishments called the law, and one lives with mercy called love, forgiveness and truth. I choose the latter.
All the law is, is a map of society. I choose to look in the eyes of the one I’m talking to, and see if there is truth in their words.
Lawmakers are nothing, but control freaks in denial. They like to think they’re making laws to make a better society, but they’re only building a house of cards… with many prison cells. They incarcerate a number of individuals that seek justice with the truth.
It’s true that many in politics started out as noble individuals, but after seeing the dirtiness of congress, executive, and judicial parts of the govt, there is no more hope for that individual. They become liars and thieves, and takes the ranks, or go back to their original lives… without politics.
I sought out diplomacy at first in college, but that meant becoming politic’s bitch. Take it up the ass with lies, as your bitch master. All the while, knowing the truth, but you’re sworn to silence by the bitches of politics.
I’d rather just tell the truth and get it out in the open, and let others deal with it. There is a way of telling the truth, so that it’s not destroying the individual. You can put it in parable form, so that one would understand it, and not take it personal… that is the wheelbarrow of love.
Spiritual Form vs Physical Form
I’ll just fly away… cause that’s what happens to us all at the end… we die physically, but our lives live on spiritually… energy form, is the best I can make out of it.
“I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It’s just that the translations have gone wrong.”
