Egos : Doorways to the Spiritual

— Egos : Doorways to the Spiritual Side —

Andra Day – “Rise Up” (Live at WFUV)

I was laying in bed all day meditating, and I was wrestling with my ego, and had realization that the egos were a doorway to my spiritual side.

The spiritual side of mankind, it’s connected to it through their egos, that’s why I saw a constant attack on the egoism on the social networks. Where the spirit dies… sometimes by murder, or suicide …it’s a spiritual graveyard on the social networks, a feeding ground for corporations.

I rise up out of bed reluctantly everyday, cause I’m wrestling with my own ego. No one understands it, but me.

So I’m left alone in my understanding with the depressions, and no one to articulate it to. I like to smile and be nice when someone visits, but once they leave, I see what I needed help with, forgetfulness comes with aging.

I talk a big game, but I’m the shy silent type.

I’m left alone with my loud ego spouting off demands on my being, which is making me more depressed, cause there doesn’t seem to be an end on the horizon, at least in my eyes.

I have a dark negative ego, and a bright shiny side too, which is always at war with each other within myself. Everybody has that too in themselves, but they choose the new devices to forget the messes in themselves. Smartphones, Ipads, and any new device that takes up your time to waste your life away.

It’s entertaining, to say the least.

Egos, are a silent slaughter when you dive into the devices, that we use to communicate with each other, the tensions are there, but mostly covered by the prideful blanket which covers your deeds.

Denials rage on without discourse, and you turn off your mind with the off switch on your device. You call that living, rather than dying gracefully.

“The art of living well and the art of dying well are one.”

Which I’m going to do when I close this post… it never ends, just trying to figure out what’s right in this world.

We are different people online, we wear masks that change with the trends of society. We wear one mask when we meet someone, and we portray another mask online. Each mask is a part of ourselves, one we’re either ashamed of or proud of, but it’s all a part of ourselves.

The egos leaves a lot of scars, so wear the scars proudly, and don’t be ashamed of them, but don’t be too proud of them either, or you will seem arrogant.

Just when you pray, you’re using your own ego to pray, and with all the murders/deaths/suicides of egos on the battlefields of the social networks, and the wounded reaching for the light in prayer, when the devices are off, remember that your ego is a part of you… it’s the core of your being/soul… and when that dies, you die.

Don’t become a zombie!

“…Nobody sees anybody truly but all through the flaws of their own egos. That is the way we all see …each other in life. Vanity, fear, desire, competition… all such distortions within our own egos… condition our vision of those in relation to us. Add to those distortions to our own egos the corresponding distortions in the egos of others, and you see how cloudy the glass must become through which we look at each other…”
Tennessee Williams
